The best way to experience Denali is avoiding the parking lot, err Parks Highway linking the park with Anchorage and Fairbanks. The traffic jams can turn a 4 hour drive into 12 hour experience – and that’s just not stress you need on a vacation.

Our tour starts with an early morning departure from Anchorage, on the award winning & acclaimed Princess Railtour. These high end luxury cars offer massive wrap-around windows, made-to-order dining & drink options, and even outdoor observation patios! You won’t be able to put your camera or binoculars down on this super scenic trek to Denali. Each car offers 360 degree panorama views from your reclining seat (upgraded cars now have power ports!) while your rail host points out wildlife and scenic points along the way.

Once you arrive at Denali, you’ll be transferred by motorcoach to one of Princess Lodge’s upscale hotels located about 10 minutes from the train depot. The resorts offer all the amenities you’d expect from Princess – specialized restaurants, nicely decorated rooms and furnishings, and lets not forget about the views! This package also includes complimentary bus transportation to & from the park.

This package does not include any tours into the park (such as bus passes, guided walks, ATV tours, flightseeing, etc). Due to the popularity of Denali, these items are difficult for AYT to include in our packages, so once you book we will let you know what is available. The train’s arrival into Denali gives you plenty of time to do a “Midnight Sun” Denali experience, with a full day on Day 2, and then head back to Anchorage on the morning of the 3rd day.

Tour operates most days from May 15th thru September 14, 2024.

This is a land-only package that is also offered in conjunction with Princess & Holland America cruises, so availability CAN be tight! We do our best to ensure our availability is accurate.

This tour is 3 full days, with 8 hours of train travel, per direction to/from Denali.

It gets cold!

We highly recommend you bring layers of clothes - it can get very chilly in Denali

Changes to Bookings

The booking engine, located top RIGHT, is where you will start. The system will provide you a base cost of the package based on your customizations and input. The rates are based on availability & subject to change. The link with Princess is NOT live, so we do our best to check frequently and block-out dates that are no longer available. Should the final price not be acceptable, we do allow you a full refund, no questions, of the deposit!

The price is based on a minimum of 2 travelers, sharing a room; however we have now included pricing for solo travelers. There is no discount for children. Maximum occupancy is 4 per room.

Any upgrades to packages components will require a reprice of the package. Substitutions are allowed. We are not able to promise upgraded rooms at the Princess lodges, upgraded rooms are reserved for Princess & Holland America CruiseTour guests.

Final price is dependent on variables, such as airfare & hotel availability, and government taxes & fees.

We HIGHLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance – either individually for this trip or an annual plan. We can provide you a quote by clicking on the check-box in the booking engine.

The Railtour product requires full payment at time of booking. While our system is NOT directly connected to Princess, if we are not able to secure your space, we will attempt to book you on the similar Alaska Railroad & offer alternative accommodations in Denali – which may result in a price difference (up or down). If this is not acceptable to you, we will refund you in full – no penalty.

AYT accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. We also accept ACH (bank transfers) and Zelle.

All funds collected are paid directly to Princess, and no funds remain held by AYT or in escrow.

Changes to your itinerary are subject to availability. AYT will do its best to honor all change requests.

Date changes may require a reprice or adjustment of the package total.

Name changes & fixes are subject to Princess Lodges. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that you have provided accurate and legal names of all travelers. Please verify the names on all receipts & itinerary. We are NOT responsible for any errors made by online bookings.

A full refund, less a $25 admin fee per guest, will be made for cancellations received at least 46 days prior to the date on which you are to commence travel.

Passengers, who cancel after that date for any reason, including medical or family reasons, are subject to the following cancellation fees:

– 45-31 days before commencing travel – 50% of gross fare less $25 admin fee per guest.
– 30 days or less before commencing travel – 100% of gross fare (non-refundable)

Princess Lodges reserves the right to cancel all or part of a tour in its reasonable discretion including in response to insufficient sales. If Princess Lodges cancels the entire tour, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid to Princess Lodges. If Princess Lodges cancels a portion of the tour due to weather or other reasons beyond the control of Princess Lodges, or if you decide for any reason whatsoever to not participate in all or part of the tour, Princess Lodges will not be required to make any refunds. For other partial cancellations by Princess Lodges, you will receive a refund for the value of the cancelled portion, with value to be determined by Princess Lodges in a fair and equitable manner. If, due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, flights are adversely impacted or you are required to spend an additional night in a location, hotel and meal costs and other incidental expenses are your responsibility.
