NCL is our favorite line due to their ‘sponsored’ solos program on EVERY cruise. NCL will have a member of the onboard entertainment or guest services team lead a daily SOLOS gathering in one of the local venues where they’ll share options for that day’s activities, including exclusive or early access to entertainment and even some dining. We’ve even been surprised with a Meet & Greet with the Captain of the ship too! NCL’s Breakway Class ships also have the Studios, which are special rooms for solos – which come with a full size bed (no dealing with sliding between two twins pushed together), a special key-card access section of the ship, and the Studios Lounge.

Royal Caribbean is now copying Norwegian and converting a handful of cabins on each ship for solo occupancy. Like NCL, the rooms are meant for just one person and don’t require you pay the double occupancy total like every other cruise line.
Sadly RCI does not give us a list of cruises that have no solo supplement. Instead, we have the name of each ship listed below, and when you click on it, our booking engine will come up and you can then edit your search based on price, destination, and date. Once you select a sailing, change the search criteria from “2” adults to “1” – and then reprice the cruise and select it. Sadly the initial search engine does not reflect solo pricing until you actually select the cruise.

MSC cruises is making a run at the US market with a lot of changes and updates to their cruises leaving Florida. We’ve recently sailed on them and we liked them – and we think you’ll enjoy their pricing since they offer a wide variety of options, and best of all – only a SMALL solo supplement on almost all their cruises (20%!)
