Whale Watching
Did you know that Juneau is the whale watching capital of the World?
Yup! And you’ll find out why when you go.
We offer multiple departures a day, with transportation from Downtown Juneau, to our partners boats located in Auke Bay. You’ll board a climate controlled boat, with plenty of seats & space to be on the look-out for these marvelous marine creatures.
This 3 – 1/2 hour tour will be in the waters around Juneau and up Lynn Canal, where the whales come for feeding after a winter in Hawai’i.
There’s a very good chance you’ll see humpback whales and orcas on this adventure – so keep your eyes & camera ready, you never know when one will breach!
Tour includes transportation from downtown Juneau, limited beverages on board, a climate-controlled boat, onboard restroom, and a knowledgeable guide. Tours that include Mendenhall Glacier as a combo also have transportation & entry to the Glacier Visitor’s Center (90 minutes or more).
Tour operates multiple times a day from Juneau starting in early May until end of September.
Tour operates regardless of weather, in fact, sometimes its easier to spot whales in the rain!
