AYT normally does not like to sell “big resorts” in conjunction with Belize.  When we think of Belize, we think of smaller properties – highlighting their waterfront or jungle views, small restaurants, great little pools, and local staff that serve you with pleasure and honor.

Well, guess what.  We found a resort that fits ALL of that, yet still looks and feels like something you’d expect on the Riveria Maya, Jamaica or others.

The Placencia, by Muy’Ono Resorts, is a well laid out, high-end Belizean resort.  The rooms offer an upscale feel & amenities, the restaurant serves top-notch Belizean fare, the bar keeps the drinks going, the pool is one of the largest we’ve seen in Belize, and we are in awe over the views.

Oceanview King Rooms have one bedroom and are located on the second or third floor. Perfect for couples, each offers a king size bed and all the amenities you desire, including WiFi, flat-screen TV, and air-conditioning. Oceanview King Rooms offer the best views at the resort.  Includes: king bed, private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, flat screen tv with cable, wifi, coffee maker & mini bar/fridge.  300 sq. feet.

A beautiful 950 square foot unit, these newly-updated Master Suites have an expansive living room and kitchen as well as a luxurious bedroom with a king bed. The marble graced bathroom has a shower and a Jacuzzi tub.  Includes: king bed, upgraded bathroom, balcony with beachfront or garden view, separate living room, kitchen with refrigerator/stove/microwave, air conditioning, flat screen tv with cable, and wifi.

The Placencia's 2 and 3 bedroom suites are PERFECT for families, friends, or small groups traveling together.  The layouts & configurations can be changed and updated to accommodate your preferences;  including the ability to rent an entire hotel villa (all the rooms).

The core 2 & 3 bedroom suites include a master bedroom with king bed, private marble bathroom with shower & jacuzzi tub; the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms offer a queen size bed with private bathroom.  Suites have a separate living area including a full kitchen, living room, and dining room setup. 

 

 

The hotel restaurant is open during all meal periods; the pool bar will typically close around 7PM.  Pier Bar is open on weekends.

Meal Plans are available as follows:

B/L/D: $75 adult, $40 children B only: $15 adult, $10 children Plus 12.5% tax

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to & from the Placencia airstrip, including daily scheduled shuttles to & from town.

Cancellation policy: changes & refunds permitted up to 14 days prior to arrival.

Resort is moderately ADA compliant – rooms will require steps up; front desk and restaurant are also only accessible by steps. 

Resort is about 10 minutes from the Placencia Air strip.  Drive time to PGIA in Belize City is about 3.25 hours (do NOT take the Coastal Highway, it is still under construction).

Cell service is adequate in Placencia.  Resort offers complimentary wifi.  Each room has full cable with multiple televisions, and international television channels.
