Iguana Reef Inn is one of our favorite hotels in Belize, if not the Caribbean.  This upscale & relaxing property offers everything you need for a beach vacation – direct access to a beach & water, a pool, lively bar, comfortable & safe accommodations, and a short walk to all the excursions and happenings on Caye Caulker.  Lets also not forget the daily sting ray experience, where you can feed these gentle sea creatures!

All rooms offer upgraded amenities including: 1 King or 2 queen beds, air conditioning, private bathroom, wifi, balcony or veranda, swimming pool, complimentary breakfast, free use of kayaks/canoes/paddle boards, beach, pier, bar, front desk, and security.

Please be aware that due to Caye Caulker’s popularity, Iguana Reef’s availability may be limited or tight – they are one of the nicest resorts/hotels on Caye Caulker.  We apologize in advance if we are not able to secure space for your package.

Parkside Standard rooms include either 1 king or 2 queen beds.  May be on 1st or 2nd floor.  2nd Floor rooms have a 14 foot vaulted ceiling

Poolside / Deluxe rooms are in the building adjacent to the beach area & pool.  Deluxe rooms have upgraded options, including a refrigerator and balcony.

The apartment or penthouse are perfect for larger groups & families.  The apartment features 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa with a full kitchen.  The penthouse, on the 3rd floor of the poolside building, has 2 bedrooms with a king size bed in each, and a full size sleeper sofa/futon; full kitchen, private 270 degree balcony, and a washer/dryer.

Hotel is located near the heart of town, on the gulfside.  The hotel is fairly private & tucked away.  Most of Caye Caulker’s attractions and restaurants/bars are just a few minute walk from the property.  Sunsets are simply amazing from the beach front (and from a few rooms).


Golf carts aren’t needed, but recommended if you plan on doing much travel on the island.


There is no restaurant at Iguana Reef, however fruit plates, chips with salsa or cheese are available at the bar.  Be sure to check out the Happy Hour specials!

Cancellation policy: No changes or refunds within 30 days of travel.

Guests who need mobile assistive devices may find this location a bit challenging.  Pool deck & rooms require going up at least 5 steps.  Breakfast area & front desk are on the ground level.  There is no elevator.

You must fly to Caye Caulker or take the ferry.

Resort is just a few minutes walk from the ferry docks; air strip is a 5 minute ride in golf cart (taxi).

Cell phone service is adequate on Caye Caulker.  Wifi is free at the hotel.  There are no televisions in the rooms at this resort except for the penthouse.
