Sadly, 2026 will be the final year Carnival Corp sails the Queen Elizabeth — or any ship under the Cunard brand — in Alaska. With Cunard shifting its elevated experience to larger ships elsewhere, their departure will leave a noticeable gap in the Alaska cruise market.

We hope you’ll take the opportunity to experience this exceptional product in Alaska one last time before it’s gone.

Cunard is known for traditional, refined cruising. Guests enjoy excellent dining, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and a strong focus on making both onboard time and port visits truly memorable.

As an Alaska travel agency, we’ve also been very impressed with Cunard’s itineraries and pricing. Don’t overlook this unique and timeless cruise experience while it’s still available.

Itineraries

Cunard offers 7 to 12 day itineraries departing Seattle, with all itineraries visiting Glacier Bay.   The ship also visits many of Alaska’s lesser-known or used ports like Haines, Wrangell, and Sitka.

The ships also stop in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) with plenty of time to actually explore this amazing Canadian port – most cruise lines dock late at night just to ensure compliance with the PVSA (ships must have a foreign stop in order to sail in US waters from a US port).

Cabins

Cunard’s cabins offer Bathroom with a walk-in shower, Satellite TV with movie and music channels, Feature vanity and desk with hairdryer, UK, USA, European, and USB power sockets, Penhaligon’s toiletries, Bathrobes and slippers, Tea and coffee making facilities, Mini-bar packages available for purchase, A dedicated steward to keep your stateroom in fine order day and night.

Inside cabins start at 152 square feet, balconies at 225 square feet, and suites at 345 square feet.

Beds are typically 2 twins that can be combined to a queen bed (the cruise lines try to call them a king..)

As with other cruise lines, specialty dining, drinks packages, and wifi are always extra.

Cunard shines with some of the most amazing food and onboard speakers, and visits to the lesser known ports

Pricing

Current pricing for sailings start as low as  $669 per person for inside cabins & $1079 per person for the shorter sailings (based on 2 per cabin); while the longer sailings can be as low as $889 per person for inside cabins & $1599 per person for balcony cabins (based on 2 per cabin).   The suites also tend to deliver amazing value, starting as low as $3239 per person.
