Cruise ships are modern, floating resorts. Guests have the choice to be as active as they want, or spend their entire time relaxing and catching up on reading.
MSC ships offer a huge array of onboard activities for guests of all ages.
MSC’s affordable packages for wifi & beverages enhance your vacation – whether its to keep in touch with family & friends back home, or you feel like acting like you are back in college and wanna drink your spouse under the table!
We detail many options below to help you select the best ship & packages for you!
All ships have an Aurea Spa, offering relaxing therapies including: massage, manicure/pedicures, hair salon, acupuncture, facials, and more.
Many of these services can be purchased in advance at a slight discount, and also on board you’ll find discounts on packages during port days.
Larger ships will also have a thermal spa/relaxation area, with multiple water features & relaxation areas, hot tubs, and saunas. Entry is sold as an entire-cruise option.
MSC’s pools are typically open from 8AM until 9PM and are staffed with life guards. Most ships have at least 2 large public pools; newer ships have an infinity or smaller pool for adults only; and Yacht Club guests have their own pool.
Whirlpools & jacuzzis typically number at least 6 on each ship and in a variety of locations, with newer ships having larger whirlpools on the promenade along deck 7 or 8.
All ships offer at least 30-45 minute shows each night as part of your cruise package – make sure to do reservations once you get onboard. Live music, comedians, and singers perform in smaller venues on most ships as well.
On sea days, you’ll find a variety of activities in the atrium or larger indoor promenade / pool deck; and evenings will have adult-oriented games such as the Marriage Show, Majority Rules, Name that Song, kareoke, and more.
Each ship has a Dormiland for kids aged infant to 16, with plenty of activities to keep them busy (including Lego-land, Nintendo/Playstations). All ships have arcades, Formula 1 Racing simulators, and more.
Larger, newer ships have a large outdoor play & activity area, including a kids pool, slides, splash areas, and waterslides.
All ships offer wifi for purchase, and we highly encourage having your Travel Designer from Alaska Travel Desk add one of the plans for your cruise. MSC offers basic browsing, at $25/day, or streaming, which starts at $29 to $39/day. We typically see packages range in the $150 to $200/range for a weeklong cruise and discounts for multiple devices.
Speeds on the “Streaming” is very good on almost every ship we have sailed – with speeds up to 100 MBPS!
