Alaska Travel Desk Exclusive!

 

No need to take a cruise to see Glacier Bay!  You can make it an add-on from Juneau with this overnight trip.    You’ll see magnificent tidewater glaciers, ancient snow capped mountains, whales, sea lions, puffins (birds), bears, eagles, and so much more.  Lunch & beverages are included on this tour, as are transfers between Gustavus Airport & Lodge.  At the end of the tour, you’ll jet back to Juneau the next evening, just in time for dinner.

 

Our package includes roundtrip airfare, 1 night lodging, and an all-day boat tour departing from the lodge (with lunch).

Lodge Lobby
Nestled under the spruce trees that line Bartlett Cove, Glacier Bay Lodge offers the only hotel accommodations within the park. The Lodge offers magnificent sunset views of the Fairweather Mountain range.

NOTE: The lodge does NOT have WIFI and cell service is limited in Gustavus!

Sample Itinerary/Schedule

Day 1: 5:00PM

Scenic flight from Juneau to Gustavus.  Be sure to check-in at least 45 minutes PRIOR to departure.

Day 1: 6:00PM

A van will come and get you at the airport & take you to the Glacier Bay Lodge, where you can enjoy a nice relaxing evening along the waters of Glacier Bay National Park. 

Day 2: 7:30AM

Your 8 hour tour begins now!  Sit back in the comfort of your climate controlled cabin on your boat as you cruise around Glacier Bay.  The boat will also approach the Grand Pacific & Margerie Glaciers, and allow for perfect viewing of the Johns Hopkins Glacier – and many others.

Day 2: 3:30PM

Shuttle back to the airport, provided by the lodge.

Day 2: 5:30PM

Take a fast flight on Alaska Airlines back to Juneau.  *You can also take an earlier flight on Alaska SeaPlanes for $50 more per person.

Transfers back to your hotel in Juneau are not included.

We highly recommend travel insurance for participants of this tour.

Weather in Alaska changes by the minute, and there’s always a risk you might get stuck in Gustavus.  The airport can get weathered in, or even the seas might be too rough for the ferry.

In the event of a cancellation or delay, ATD will do its best to get you home, however meals, hotel, and other expenses are your responsibility.

Legal Stuff

Our booking system is sadly not connected to all the live systems of each of our providers, we do our best to keep our calendar updated, however all bookings are by request only.

In our booking system, your preferences are noted and we will contact you within 24 hours of confirmation and final cost, if there are any pricing variations.    Full payment will be due at time of booking.  Some components may be charged separately on your credit card (Lodge & Tour).

Upon confirmation and acceptance of the price, Alaska Travel Desk will require full payment (except for lodge stays of 2 or more nights).  

Alaska Travel Desk accepts most credit & debit cards.  A valid billing address is required.

Penalties for Overnight Stays/Lodge:  $30 admin charge per room for cancellations/changes done up to 72 hours in advance.  No refunds for changes or cancellations within 72 hours of travel.

Penalties for Tour: Reservation cancellations/changes made more than 72 hours prior to tour will receive a refund less a $25 cancellation/change fee per tour ticket. Reservation Cancellations/Changes made within 72 hours prior to tour will result in full deposit forfeiture

Flights: Most flights are non-refundable but changeable subject to difference in airfare/and or a change fee.  Tours with flights operated by Alaska Seaplanes are non-refundable but provided a credit to the named traveler for future travel, up to 1 year from date of travel.

Any voluntary changes must be made via our office at 907-531-9140 as soon as you become aware of any variations in your travel package.   This offering is subject to a $25 per person change fee + any change fees/differences in price by our vendors.
